The mission of We Impeach is to hold accountable government officials who abuse their power; particularly when those abuses result in violence toward humankind. Here&#8217;s a radio interview we gave&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/audio\/AM950_MikeMcIntee_Show_2_2_2017_IFP.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\" \/>[Click &#8220;Read More&#8221; below to get the audio].<\/audio><\/p>\n<p>Throughout our organization&#8217;s history, we have organized countless <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/category\/feedburner\/ifp\/ifp-events\/\">numbers of protests<\/a>, held <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/events\/oct5.html\">concerts<\/a>, met with <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/2007\/07\/27\/impeachforpeace-lobbies-reps-jones-r-nc-nadler-d-ny-waters-d-ca-schiff-d-ca-wexler-d-fl-meets-with-kucinich-d-oh-2\/\">members of Congress<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/2007\/06\/13\/impeachforpeaceorg-meets-with-minneapolis-city-council-members-gordon-glidden\/\">city council members<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/2007\/05\/22\/minneapolis-mayor-rt-rybak-asks-impeachforpeaceorg-to-not-include-me-as-someone-who-supports-impeachment\/\">mayors<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/2008\/08\/12\/aclu-and-impeach-for-peace-file-complaint-in-district-court-regarding-public-viewing-area\/\">worked with the ACLU in a lawsuit against the city of St. Paul regarding protest rights<\/a>, been featured on <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/2016\/11\/25\/impeach-for-peace-as-heard-on-the-radio\/\">radio programs<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/2007\/08\/20\/television-interview-of-impeach-for-peace-cofounder\/\">television shows<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/about-impeach-for-peace\/impeach-for-peace-in-print\/\">books<\/a>, \u00a0been <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/2008\/01\/16\/video-wexler-demands-impeachment-hearings-on-us-house-floor\/\">mentioned on the floor of the House of Representatives<\/a> regarding our efforts, held a <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/2007\/11\/14\/video-impeachment-smackdown-debate-featuring-rep-tim-penny-councilman-remmington\/\">debate with a state representative<\/a>, \u00a0had numerous <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/impeach-for-peace-in-the-news\/\">newspaper and magazine articles<\/a> written regarding our activities, organized local chapters in many states, organized a <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/index.php?s=march+of+the+people\">march across the United States<\/a>, and delivered thousands of <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/ImpeachNow.html\">formal impeachment petitions<\/a> to the House of Representatives. We have worked closely with particular members of the House of Representatives, as well as numerous political organizations in our efforts to hold government officials accountable.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14004 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IfP-Group-Photo-300x234.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"234\" \/>Our development of the <a href=\"http:\/\/impeachforpeace.org\/ImpeachNow.html\">Formal Impeachment Memorial<\/a>\u00a0takes advantage of the House of Representative&#8217;s own rules, and an historical precedent in which a judge was impeached through this process (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0pz_89rpT30\">here&#8217;s a video about the method<\/a>). This tool allows individual citizens to initiate the impeachment process and has become invaluable in empowering regular people against abusive government officials.
