The Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform today requested e-mails from the Republican National Committee related to the possible misuse of federal government employees and resources for political purposes.<\/p>\n

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) warned that there were “Serious questions…about the legality and propriety” of a presentation delivered by a top White House aide, J. Scott Jennings, to General Services Administration appointees on the 2008 Elections. Some GSA political appointees reportedly asked how they could use their agency to contribute to Republican political gains in the 2008 elections.<\/p>\n
