Be afraid. Be very afraid.
\nNancy Pelosi may have said impeachment is off the table for Bush but, can we get Cheney out, at least?
\nAccording to Steve Clemons of the Washington Note (the blog for the Washington Post), Cheney may try an end-run around Bush to force his hand on attacking Iran. Bush, through Condoleeza Rice, is looking at more diplomatic solutions in regards to the US’ relationship with Iran. However, Cheney is such a warmonger (when other people’s lives are on the line), that he may look to another strategy to bring about more death and destruction in the Middle East. Such a strategy would likely employ the cooperation of Israel in bombing certain Iranian sites. The idea would be to provoke Iran into a counterstrike against U.S. forces already in the Persian Gulf which would, in turn, drag the U.S. into a conflict with Iran.
\nHonestly, do we want another war? And, even if we did, would you trust these people to run it?
\nHe’s gotta go. We just need to muster the testicular fortitude as a country to do so.<\/p>\n
