The Town Council this Tuesday will consider nothing less than a petition proposing an ordinance calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard B. Cheney.<\/p>\n

A three-member petition committee has gathered enough valid signatures, nearly 100 when only 31 were actually needed, to get the item placed on the Town Council’s agenda. “This is a citizen initiated action against George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney for violating the public trust, and for knowingly harming the United States of America and the state of Colorado,” said Thom Carnevale of Telluride. “The U.S. democracy is in a struggle for its life.”<\/p>\n
