Mic <\/b> -Donald Trump\u00a0will take the oath of office to become president on Friday, but many are already speculating that his presidency won’t last long. Some, in fact, have been hoping for Trump’s impeachment since the\u00a0night of his election<\/a>.<\/p>\n Between Trump’s myriad of business conflicts, alleged entanglements with Russia and\u00a0mounting lawsuits<\/a>, it won’t take long for the new president to commit\u00a0impeachable offenses<\/a>. In fact, the grounds for Trump’s impeachment will be pretty instantaneous.<\/p>\n “Unless\u00a0<\/span>D<\/span>onald Trump changes course, he will be in violation of the Constitution on day one, hour one and minute one because his businesses in the United States and around the world receive a steady flow of proceeds from foreign governments,” Norman Eisen, a former White House ethics lawyer, told\u00a0NPR<\/a>\u00a0in December.<\/p>\n When Trump said at a Jan. 11\u00a0press conference<\/a>\u00a0that he would turn his business over to his sons, Eisen predicted Trump’s “ill-advised course will precipitate scandal and corruption.”<\/p>\n But contrary to popular belief, impeachment doesn’t mean being removed from office; the term is more akin to\u00a0being indicted<\/a>\u00a0for a crime.
