I would even take it a step further.
Not only am I 110% for the impeachment of the president, I’m for the conviction of the criminals including but not limited to Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, James Baker, Bill Kristol, “Scooter” Libby, Powell, Rice and Tenet.
The polls that show how much the American public despise the current situation we’re in are encouraging. However, not much will change unless we have a social uprising the likes of which happened in the ’60’s. Whatever democracy we thought we had has been relegated to sound-byte politics and commercialized illusion-peddling of politicians. In this fast-food culture, these 71% of Americans tend to be too fat and lazy to stand up and force our elected officials to end their criminal activity, and to demand a sustainable society that is a positive example for the world.
So I guess impeachment is the first step to convicting the whole lot of ’em.
With 71% of Americans being against the War in Iraq, it indicates a public contempt of the President. No polls have been presented telling how much support impeachment of Bush has, but the War in Iraq must be an indicator of that. What issue could be bigger than the slaughter of 100,000s of people and invasion of a soveriegn nation, plus the huge cost to the economy of waging that [illegal] war.
There can be no doubt that the Congress and other elected representitives of the American people should be acting to impeach Bush, if Democracy is truly important to Americans. It is a strong majority that has contempt for President Bush, so impeach him, it is really quite straightforward, it is their duty.
