3/19, Meet Congressperson after March on Pentagon

On Monday March 19th, as a follow-up to our huge rally at the Pentagon groups of individuals will be meeting with Congresspeople to help hit home the point that our coalition of organizations (representative of many millions of disaffected U.S. citizens) demand impeachment of Bush and Cheney.

In order to make that message crystal clear we will be authoring what are called “memorials” which is a legally/procedurally recognized method by the Rules of the House of Representatives for individual citizens to initiate the impeachment process in the House. The congressperson can then, if convinced, bring up articles of impeachment for debate.

This is being headed up by Joshua Schulman of the Kingston, NY chapter He has volunteered to organize this along with Jodin of the Minneapolis chpater. Contact Joshua at:
[email protected]

Jodin, has worked up a “memorial” as part of his DIY Impeachment. So, for your own memorial to bring with you to see your representative, download it here:

  1. Lew,

    So nice of you to visit again!

    And your comment is so very timely!

    We are just now appealing to the true patriots around the nation to send in the latest wave of DIY Impeachment Memorials – this time to Representative Ron Paul (R-TX). Details here:

    http://impeachforpeace.org/impeach_bush_blog/?p=715

    And yes Lew… you do worry me. But I am still holding out hope that your intellect will heal from 12 years of hypnotic, Contract on America “talking points” being drummed into your head on a daily basis.

    Good luck with your recovery!

    ~ MR

  2. “am just far too busy with this incredibly important work with my allies of saving our nation, our valiant troops and the innocent civilians of Iraq and Iran from the neolithic tyrant you worship.”

    If you really had anything of substance, why haven’t you filed in Court or before Congress, instead of an obscure corner of the internet?

    I appreciate the email also. Good to see we worry you.

  3. Oh… and I did get a response from Kateri directly to the e-mail I sent to everyone who had posted on this thread. Here it is with my responses in italics:

    ~~~
    Mikael,
    You may twist my words to suit your purpose; that’s okay. (I recognize hate speech based upon lies when I see it, so no, I did not twist your words, but if you feel the need to resort to playing the victim and hope that will strengthen your argument then you are welcome to it) You may even misquote me and name call and that’s okay. (I didn’t misquote you, and I didn’t name call. I said that your opinions about Muslims and Iraqis – the strong majority of whom are secularists, just like Americans by the way – revealed you to be a racist and a xenophobe. I stand by my words). However, if you were honest with yourself(I am), you will recall I invited you to join us at ww.victorycaucus.com and join the conversations (I do recall. What I don’t recall is ever promising I would do so). You haven’t done so(Actually I did visit the site, recognized it for what it was and chose not to participate). To me, that shows an extreme lack of courage (Actually I just value my time such that I am not going to waste it. I choose instead to stay here to debate based on facts with those that reveal themselves to be interested in the truth rather than blind loyalty to party and partisan agenda)and an extreme bias on your part(Not at all. I just choose to focus on communicating with those who are capable of discerning facts from fiction and thus will read the facts of Bush and Cheney’s impeachable offenses and discuss them on their merits), though you stated you wished for give and take conversation on your site(Exactly! on our site… and here we are). If you had half the courage you purport to have(I don’t remember claiming anything of the sort, but thanks for assuming it!), you would have visited (Again.. I did)and you would have seen that we indeed endorse Muslims(How incredibly magnanimous of you! Do you endorse other black and brown people if they act in a manner that is pleasing to you?) who have escaped the horror of the terrorists (See the article above that obliterates your bias against Muslims and your presumption that they are such hateful and backward people and understand that from most Iraqi’s perspective WE are the terrorists)and are very vocal about what they’ve seen, what they’ve experienced, even what they’ve done and turned away from. (Check out dahrjamailiraq.com for a truly independent reporter, unemcumbered by corporate ties or being embedded with selected pro-Bush units. Again, only if you are interested in the truth rather than what partisan shills tell you to think.)
    Now, while I may be a Bush supporter, that doesn’t mean I’m not thoroughly discouraged with several things that have transpired. No one walks on water and that includes our president(I am so relieved to hear that you have come to understand this. There may be hope for you yet!). However, I feel that supporting our CIC in time of war is paramount or the wrong message is sent to the very people we wish to take out of the game and that is the terrorists(But this war has no end. Don’t you get this? It isn’t a war against a country or a people. It is a war against a quasi-military technique. And prior to 2001 the GRAND TOTAL OF IRAQI NATIONALS WHO HAD EVER COMMITTED AN ACT OF TERROR AGAINST THE U.S. WAS ONE. ONE. EXACTLY ONE IN THE U.S.S. COLE BOMBING. Every excuse given to attack and occupy Iraq has been proven a sham. This strategic resource-grab was planned long before 9/11 – see the Project for a New American Century’s report circa 1998 – and even before Bush was installed by the Supreme Court in 2000). It emboldens them and encourages them(More ‘talking point’ crap. You are parroting exactly what you are being told to think. At least you should have the common sense to translate it first rather than just directly quoting Rove/Snow/Hannity/Limbaugh/O’Reilly, etc.). And, I do feel that Bush has a much bigger set of cajones on him than the beloved favorite of the liberals, and that’s Clinton(Oh boy… here it comes… trotting out the Clinton rag doll to beat on. One more time blaming Clinton for everything). At least Bush has the courage to confront the terrorists while Clinton ran(This is total crap. Osama could have been captured or killed many times through Bush I, Clinton and Bush II. He is a CIA prop-doll used as an excuse to justify all military actions. You DO know that the Osama 9/11 confession video shows a shorter, fatter, right-handed Osama wearing gold don’t you? He is tall, slender, left handed and would NEVER wear gold as an extremist Muslim. Can’t you see even obvious examples like that of how you are being lied too? He was trained by the CIA. The Bush’s and the bin Laden’s are close friends – have been for years). Further, Bush hasn’t committed perjury (Uhhh… might that be because he hasn’t YET said anything under oath about anything? Bush’s lies to Congress prior to the war are legion – each one an impeachable offense) and Clinton did. Regardless of what that perjury pertained to (in his case, sex), it’s still a crime and he was impeached for it. (This debate and this website have absolutely nothing to do with Clinton. Do you realize that the Clinton witch-hunt burned up nearly ten times the tax payers dollars than was spent on the entire 9/11 investigation by the Bush Administration? What are they hiding?)
    You didn’t ask, you assumed. And you conveniently twist the Libby hearings to suit your purposes…the real “outer” of Valerie Plane was Armitage. Why aren’t you concentrating on that?(Simply because that isn’t true. It is just more of the ‘lying points’ you are devotedly regurgitating. Check the leak graphic here: CIA Leak Hearing: Pervasive White House Involvement in “National Security Breach”which makes perfectly clear that Rove, Fleischer, Libby AND Armitage were simultaneously sent on a mission by… you do the math…)
    Go ahead and play your games(I am most certainly not playing games). Go ahead and name call and twist(I stand by my words that your own words reveal you to be a racist and a xenophobe). I expect nothing more from you(I expect straightforward dialogue. I hope you are capable of returning to it). And like most liberals(Another generalization. Do you group all people into little boxes by race, faith and political preference?), when offered a chance at real dialogue on another site, you did just as expected–you hid(Not in the least. I am just far too busy with this incredibly important work with my allies of saving our nation, our valiant troops and the innocent civilians of Iraq and Iran from the neolithic tyrant you worship).
  4. And for the conclusive proof that came out during the Libby trial that Rove, Fleischer, Libby and Armitage were all simultaneously leaking Plame’s identity, go here:
    http://impeachforpeace.org/impeach_bush_blog/?p=709
    The only real questions now are “What did the President know and when?” and “What did the Vice President know and when?”
    The answers appear to be “Everything” and “All along”, but we at ImpeachforPeace believe in granting them the selfsame due process that they are hell bent on denying everyone else.
    So… Habeas corpus for Dick n’ Bush, THEN flog their treasonous corpses.
  5. This is being duplicated on this thread from another thread: http://impeachforpeace.org/impeach_bush_blog/?p=695#comment-1886
    The Butler report was based upon ITALIAN INTELLIGENCE AGENCY TRANSCRIPTS OF–wait for it–the forgeries. The WHOLE intelligence laundering operation has been thoroughly DEBUNKED. Even the follow-up and follow-on BS that has been circulated in the press has been discredited, including the Butler Report follow-up, which was based upon transcripts of the orginal forgeries which were always misrepresented, from the beginning, as being INDEPENDENT pieces of confirming evidence for the forgeries from which they were transcribed.
    These efforts to repeat and recirculate the same debunked LIES arising from the SAME intelligence laundering operation, over and over and over for YEARS shows that there is clearly a criminal black propaganda effort ongoing.
    I don’t know how much Christopher Hitchens got paid, but he and every other “journalist” who has provided these propaganda services should be made to tell, under oath, who paid them. LONG, LONG after Mr. Hitchens story about the trip in 1999 of Ambassador Zawahie had been debunked, Mr. Hitchens continued to shill that preposterous fabrication in his unrelenting efforts to accuse Joe Wilson of being a liar.
    Andrea Mitchell reported on national television, just days ago, that the polls show that most people would like to see Scooter Libby pardoned, when the FACT is that 82% of the public oppose it. This kind of LYING is not new to Ms Mitchell: She once said, on television, that “everyone” knew Valerie Plame’s identity, a lie that forced Patrick Fitzgerald to exhaustively survey the Washington DC area in order to confront Ms Mitchell with her lie and offer her a chance to recant it under oath, WHICH SHE DID.
    It’s clear to me, that simply getting serious with Scooter Libby for BEING A LIAR is not enough. We have people fabricating reasons to go to war, and each and every one of them must be dealt with in a serious fashion.
    Two days ago, Victoria Toensing appeared before the House Oversight Committee, and had the arrogance to LIE UNDER OATH before that Committee regarding the content of a statute she had helped draft 25 years earlier, and it appears that her sole object in being brought before that Committee by the Republican Minority, was to state that LIE. Ms Toensing stated, in direct and unambiguous terms, that Valerie Plame Wilson was NOT COVERT, according to the statute known as the Intelligence Identities Protection Act.
    IN FACT, the clear language in that statute, and the testimony of Valerie Plame Wilson, and the testimony of the current Director of the CIA, all demonstrate that Ms Toensing LIED Under Oath before the Committee, and I doubt that fact was overlooked by the Chairman, and I doubt Ms Toensing is going to have the last word on that matter.
    Ms Toensing is yet another propagandist on the payroll, and her part in the propaganda effort is repeating the line that “no underlying crime was committed,” and providing the plausible reason why. Her “plausible reason why” IS A LIE.
    The TRUTH is that there WAS an underlying crime, but Bush and Cheney declassified Plame’s identity (July 2003) and applied the declassification retroactively to shield the leakers from prosecution. I believe it was about week after this action that Bush said he didn’t know who the leakers were, and that he doubted we would ever know.
  6. The following e-mail was just sent to everyone who contributed to this thread up until now:
    ~~~

    This is going out to everyone who posted on the following thread on our news blog:

    http://impeachforpeace.org/impeach_bush_blog/?p=479

    Just this week we have received confirmation that Valerie Plame was an active agent as confirmed by the current U.S. Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (commonly: Assistant National Security Advisor) Stephen Hadley himself when she was ‘outed’.

    The potentially treasonous war-time ‘outing’ of Plame was a concerted, conscious effort by multiple members of the Bush Administration – as Libby Trial testimony, and a graphic submitted to the current Congressional CIA Leak Investigation clearly reveals:

    http://impeachforpeace.org/impeach_bush_blog/?p=709

    This after four years of incessant Neo-Con loyalist and covert employee ( ‘troll’ ) chatter that she simply had a desk job and that it was common knowledge that she was CIA ‘around town’. Trace back who has been pushing that lie and you can easily see whose loyalty is to party, power and profit over truth, justice and the best interests of our national security.

    We at ImpeachforPeace see no coincidence in three forceful Neo-Con supporting voices converged on our blogsite Press Release for today’s March on the Pentagon leading up to Monday’s visits with members of Congress.

    Nice to know that we are a threat to your lies.

    Another lie, as put forth in the same blog by ‘Kateri’ – that Muslims, Iraqis and Iranians are hateful, evil, sinister villains hellbent on the destruction of all things American is also revealed to be a falsehood below:

    ( ‘The Myth of Muslim Support of Terror’ article was included here. )

  7. Here is a FACT-BASED reponse to the xenophobic vitriol posted above. Hate speech against Muslims and Iraqis and ‘brown people’ in general, as personified by George Allen, John McCain and so many other of our ‘leaders’ as well as some of those who posted above on this thread, has no place in America or ultimately the world:

    ~~~
    The Myth of Muslim Support for Terror
    By Kenneth Ballen – WASHINGTON
    from the February 23, 2007 edition
    Copyright © 2007 The Christian Science Monitor. All rights reserved.
    The common enemy is violence and terrorism, not Muslims any more than Christians or Jews.
    Those who think that Muslim countries and pro-terrorist attitudes go hand-in-hand might be shocked by new polling research: Americans are more approving of terrorist attacks against civilians than any major Muslim country except for Nigeria.
    The survey, conducted in December 2006 by the University of Maryland’s prestigious Program on International Public Attitudes, shows that only 46 percent of Americans think that “bombing and other attacks intentionally aimed at civilians” are “never justified,” while 24 percent believe these attacks are “often or sometimes justified.”
    Contrast those numbers with 2006 polling results from the world’s most-populous Muslim countries – Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nigeria. Terror Free Tomorrow, the organization I lead, found that 74 percent of respondents in Indonesia agreed that terrorist attacks are “never justified”; in Pakistan, that figure was 86 percent; in Bangladesh, 81 percent.
    Do these findings mean that Americans are closet terrorist sympathizers?
    Hardly. Yet, far too often, Americans and other Westerners seem willing to draw that conclusion about Muslims. Public opinion surveys in the United States and Europe show that nearly half of Westerners associate Islam with violence and Muslims with terrorists. Given the many radicals who commit violence in the name of Islam around the world, that’s an understandable polling result.
    But these stereotypes, affirmed by simplistic media coverage and many radicals themselves, are not supported by the facts – and they are detrimental to the war on terror. When the West wrongly attributes radical views to all of the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims, it perpetuates a myth that has the very real effect of marginalizing critical allies in the war on terror.
    Indeed, the far-too-frequent stereotyping of Muslims serves only to reinforce the radical appeal of the small minority of Muslims who peddle hatred of the West and others as authentic religious practice.
    Terror Free Tomorrow’s 20-plus surveys of Muslim countries in the past two years reveal another surprise: Even among the minority who indicated support for terrorist attacks and Osama bin Laden, most overwhelmingly approved of specific American actions in their own countries. For example, 71 percent of bin Laden supporters in Indonesia and 79 percent in Pakistan said they thought more favorably of the United States as a result of American humanitarian assistance in their countries – not exactly the profile of hard-core terrorist sympathizers. For most people, their professed support of terrorism/bin Laden can be more accurately characterized as a kind of “protest vote” against current US foreign policies, not as a deeply held religious conviction or even an inherently anti- American or anti-Western view.
    In truth, the common enemy is violence and terrorism, not Muslims any more than Christians or Jews. Whether recruits to violent causes join gangs in Los Angeles or terrorist cells in Lahore, the enemy is the violence they exalt.
    Our surveys show that not only do Muslims reject terrorism as much if not more than Americans, but even those who are sympathetic to radical ideology can be won over by positive American actions that promote goodwill and offer real hope.
    America’s goal, in partnership with Muslim public opinion, should be to defeat terrorists by isolating them from their own societies. The most effective policies to achieve that goal are the ones that build on our common humanity. And we can start by recognizing that Muslims throughout the world want peace as much as Americans do.
    • Kenneth Ballen is founder and president of Terror Free Tomorrow, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to finding effective policies that win popular support away from global terrorists.
  8. “You and your kind MUST have been asleep or in a Hate Bush induced trance. I shant do your homework for you. Grow a spine and seek the data yourself.”
    Snooper, you whine and scream but bring no facts to the table. Our entire website is devoted to facts, links and evidence and yet you can’t find the time to attempt to prove a single lie you foist upon us.
    “Grow a spine?”
    Sir, our spines are perfectly healthy.
    Please bring more to the table than juvenile name-calling, bile and lies on your next visit.
    But thank you so much for dropping by!
  9. Jodin,
    EXACTLY!
    So many entries, so little facts.
    And NOT ONE has taken the time to counter even a single area of the charges from our evidence page.
    Really everyone… We want you to do the work to prove the charges wrong. I believe you won’t take the time because you know that each and every charge is true.
    So prove me wrong?
  10. I just read your “Charges and Evidence” page. If that is the best you’ve got, you might as well go back and concentrate on your day job cause you ain’t gonna get very far at all with this. Even if you DO (which you will never get to because simply hating the President and coming up with cockamamie “charges and evidence” isn’t enough) get to an impeachment trial, any lawyer worth half his salt will be able to destroy all of those “charges” and the “evidence” is grounded in nothing more than Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) hatred.
    Entertaining reading, though! Thanks.
  11. Mikael…”Please show me links to where I can substantiate the following:
    “we found “banned” long-range rockets and missles” (Capable of hitting Israel? U.S.?)
    “we found Sarin and other chemical agents” (I read the Sarin was a decade old and inert. You say differently?)
    We found other “banned” weapons.” (Such as…?)”
    You and your kind MUST have been asleep or in a Hate Bush induced trance. I shant do your homework for you. Grow a spine and seek the data yourself.
    The Sarin was in now way inert. Old, perhaps but less than a thimble can kill hundreds.
    As for the banned weapons, RESEARCH the UN sanctions that for nearly 12 years were ignored by ALL but the US. Hello?
    Your kind crack me up. So young and uneducated. So easily mislead by dolts of the socialists.
    Have fun.
  12. Thanks for defending our country. That’s what our mission is. In this case, the enemy of the Constitution and the rule of law is the president. I hope you’ll put aside any dogma related to what the media reinforces as bumper sticker ‘pride for this country’, and stick to true patriotism. Defending democracy, not a party or a president. You wish to know what Bush has done impeachable? I’m amazed anyone can be avoiding the news enough not to know, but here you go:
    http://impeachforpeace.org/evidence
    Comment by Jodin Morey — March 8, 2007 @ 4:01 am
    Dogma? Not hardly. And you? LOL!! Your alleged “evidence” is mere Leftinistra wishful thinking.
    The Patriot Act is bad? LOL!! This shows your inability to discern reason! Simply amazing.
    Are you threatening someone here? Should I contact the authorities?
    Comment by Mikael — March 8, 2007 @ 5:14 am
    Threats? No. Fact? Yes indeed. We will NOT allow the ignorant Peacenik Cowards to deface the Vietnam War Memorial as they were ALLOWED to do at the Capital building by Nancy Pelosi.
    Call the authorities? We already have. LOL!! We told them of our intentions and they are with us in that regards.
    See ya on the 17th. Leave your paint cans home. LOL!!
  13. Mikael, don’t fall for the media spin about the Libby trial. The trial had NOTHING to do with Iraq, regardless of the efforts to make it such.
    The quotes I supplied above show that Bush could not have manipulated any intelligence since prominent anti-war Democrats were making the same claims long before Bush was elected.
    I have to get ready for work now, so will supply more about this later this evening.
  14. Kateri,
    If you were to go to our evidence page it lists many, many links to root sources. There are also many hundreds of links off of our site in other areas that list everything from news stories about the impeachable offenses to OpEd pieces detailing why impeachment is essential.
    We just keep sending you to our evidence page when you question the impeachability of BushCheneyCo. but apparently you aren’t interested in evidence concerning the criminal behavior of Bush & Cheney. Would you rather read about it on a different site? We can send you there too.
    Nobody wants Sharia Law here and I think your fears concerning that are a bit “conspiracy theorist”.
    We also don’t want to lose our liberties from within and are fighting to protect them.
    “Congress authorized the war; they knew the facts, whether you believe it or not.”
    You must have missed the entire Libby trial and the abundant evidence revealing how hard they were all working to “Fix the evidence around the policy” as the Downing Street memos revealed as well. You don’t have to catch the Libby trial on reruns, the House Investigations into pre-war lies is looking like it will begin soon.
    Fly safe.
  15. Snooper,
    Please show me links to where I can substantiate the following:
    “we found “banned” long-range rockets and missles” (Capable of hitting Israel? U.S.?)
    “we found Sarin and other chemical agents” (I read the Sarin was a decade old and inert. You say differently?)
    We found other “banned” weapons.” (Such as…?)
    “This impeach President Bush garbage is NOT what a Patriot does in a time of war.”
    Are you referring to the ‘War on Terror” that, since it is a war against no country or specific people group as an enemy there will be no defined victory, thus no defined end?
    In effect you are saying that impeachment (justice) should be suspended for as long as this war lasts (forever)?
    A Patriot honors his or her oath to “Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America against enemies both foreign AND DOMESTIC”. Do you intend to honor your oath? Do you intend to protect the Constitution against domestic enemies?
    If so, then Alberto Gonzales, John Yoo and those that they advised to dismantle our Constitutional liberties part and parcel should be who you focus your patriotic intentions on. You should be up in arms about the damage done by Patriot Acts I & II and the Military Commissions Act.
    Or have you traded in your oath and replaced it with loyalty to Party? President? Profit?
    And finally “BTW…we will see you on the 17th. Do NOT come to The Wall.”
    Are you threatening someone here? Should I contact the authorities?
  16. We invite you to visit us over at http://www.VictoryCaucus.com. If you truly are bi-partisan, you should be comfortable there. However, I don’t have to bat 1.000 on anything…I know what I’ve researched and I know what the MSM has fed the public for years. So far, all I’ve seen is a reference back to your own site, whereas we give links for many, many, many sites. We try to get more than the pablum fed to us by the MSM. It’s obvious you want sharia law here and it’s obvious you will believe anything supporting the assumption that defending a country is bad. I again assert, if you go after one, you have to go after all. Congress authorized the war; they knew the facts, whether you believe it or not. Go after all or none. And go after all the crooks currently occupying the house and senate, don’t just cherry pick. Again, I extend the invitation to VICTORY.
    I have to go catch a plane
  17. Kateri,
    I just finished a lengthy reply and it disappeared when I tried to post it. It is now quarter to 5 a.m. and I must sleep.
    Most importantly it comes down to the fact that we are working to hold a President and a Vice President accountable for crimes and misdemeanors that easily rise to the level of being impeachable offenses. We have the evidence for you to peruse, complete with links and sources, etc. We aren’t the only ones to have published these. Please read them over and rebut them as best you can, but remember as you do that you have to bat 1.000 – competely disproving each and every charge.
    We just need one hit, because each and every charge we explain is impeachable in and of itself:
    EVIDENCE FOR IMPEACHMENT
  18. Thanks for defending our country. That’s what our mission is. In this case, the enemy of the Constitution and the rule of law is the president. I hope you’ll put aside any dogma related to what the media reinforces as bumper sticker ‘pride for this country’, and stick to true patriotism. Defending democracy, not a party or a president. You wish to know what Bush has done impeachable? I’m amazed anyone can be avoiding the news enough not to know, but here you go:
    http://impeachforpeace.org/evidence
  19. I noticed you have the Footprint of the American Chicken displayed. That explains a lot.
    Will you have Jihad Jane with you? If so, tell IT that my family thanks her and her ilk for the death of my brother.
  20. Impeach PRESIDENT George W Bush? For what? Defending the United States of America? Heaven forbid!! Such a travesty! Inshallah!!
    I have been hearing this sort of falderal since 2000. It usually comes from the rank and file of the Hate Bush Crowd, all because he WON TWO Presidential elections.
    I am a combat veteran. I have “been there and done that”. I have served this country since 1974. I “retired” in 2004. I was Active Duty from 1976 up until 2004 and since 2004, I have served, STILL (once in never out), in advisory capacities.
    We KNEW by 1977 that there was going to be a military-type confrontation to a degree such as never seen before. We spent YEARS studying the cause and affects on the mind-set(s) of the various factions of the Islamic Faiths. I said “Faiths” because there are MANY sects that interpret their Holy Grail in a plethora of details which, identifies them as the “Faithful”.
    In c.a. 1924, the Caliphate was disbanded. When this transpired, the once united (under military rule…tyranny) Islamic Faith was fractionalized to such a degree that there was no stopping the murderous fallout. Each now un-united sect went their own way. Very few knew what was going on because they were a “backward” people, kept to themselves and killed any and all strangers (infidels) including their own unfaithfuls. Also, there wasn’t the http://www.whatevers we have today so communications were quite estranged to them and any attempts to communicate with them was potentially lethal…until WWII.
    Nazi Germany promised them wealth and lands and protection. The Nazi Fascism suited their needs to a T. Cutting years of research short here…they lost their bid for dominion from the Plains of Iberia to Indonesia which, the United Islamic Faith ruled for decades prior to the Roman Empire. The Calphate was pushed back and pushed back and then, as I mentioned earlier was disbanded.
    Fast forwarding to the 1970s, grumblings began for yet another Caliphate. President James Earl Carter did his very BEST to make that happen. Through his disengenuous creed of ignorance, he displaced the Shah of Iran (used to be Persia until they changed to “The Land of The Aryans”…Farsi for Iran) and put into place “very religious and nice men”. These “nice men” declared war on the United States soon thereafter. Most do not know this FACT. We in the Armed Forces were put on alert and shortly thereafter, “radicals” (heard that someplace before?) stormed the US Embassy and James Boy sat on his back of the front and did what?…not a damn thing.
    The radicals learned that the United States, the Big Satan was a Paper Tiger and could be pushed around.
    Fast forwarding to mid 1980s, edicts of Fatwah emerged with the defeat of the USSR by these same radicals with the help of “The Big Satan.” UBL (OBL), we called him Oblong, declared war on the Big Satan and began earnestly seeking whatever he could to destroy the Infidels in the Unied States…Democrat, Republican, Independent, Man, Woman, Children, Jew, Gentile, Catholic…whatever. The Fatwah states that the Big Satan must convert or die.
    Do your homework. I have been studying AND fighting them for YEARS and have faced them scope to scope, bullet to bullet, gun to gun, hand to hand. They are NOt stupid or backward people anymore.
    They want to kill us ALL and President Bush has NOTHING to do with this. When we were in Afghanistan, we watched them scatter to the Four Winds and they left a smattering behind to slow us down and that tactic worked. We watched them from the air, from orbit and from the ground. Some fledto the northern border “Stan” countries. Some fled to Iran…go figure. MOST fled to IRAQ.
    If you recall the President’s speeches, as I do, and still read them from time to time, he stated in no uncertain terms that if ANY nation harbors or trains terrorist, they will be held accountable.
    No, there were no nukes found in Iraq but we found “banned” long-range rockets and missles…we found Sarin and other chemical agents. We found other “banned” weapons. So the “there were no WMDs” is a bald faced lie. I was there…I saw them.
    This impeach President Bush garbage is NOT what a Patriot does in a time of war. It emboldens the enemy and Lord knows they don’t need any help in that area.
    If you knew what enemy we faced, you would not be coughing up fur balls like you are.
    HOOAH!
  21. Now, how about you answer the rest of the questions? And, as a matter of fact, I DO drive an SUV and I don’t have any bumper stickers on the back other than my national organization. Please do NOT make assumptions about me.
    I have tried to keep things very civil and have asked for clarity. And, yes, I do support the troops, in all ways–I was as outraged as anyone else with sense about the abuses at Walter Reed…abuses that are now being looked into as a priority. But the question goes both ways…you accuse the Republicans of doing nothing, but it would seem to me this was something all the members of Congress AS WELL AS the Joint Chiefs should have been investigating long before it came to this.
    There is a group of Republicans very angry with our party at the moment and doing our utmost to replace the political pole sitters in our party with strong leaders. Again, don’t lump all of us in the same basket.
    Saddam wasn’t charged with gassing the Kurds for one very simple reason and it had nothing to do with “conspiracy theories”–in fact, it was all over the MSM. That fact was this…he was hung before they charged him and the courts over there came under “fire” for hanging him before he could be tried for that. He was actually charged in absentia. Did you miss that?
    When I say “they” I mean the terrorists–and it has been shown they know no particular color. Further, I’m a proud “mutt”, so again, don’t start lowering yourself to a race issue. Did you happen to watch the entire video of the Nick Berg beheading? I did; I suppose those are poor, innocent people who are misunderstood?
    Yes, we at one time dealt with Saddam as a guarded ally. But, can you honestly deny he was just a good ole boy and we didn’t really “get” him and on and on? I don’t think so. Not if you’re honest. And, yes, I have seen the picture.
    “Those that don’t trust Bush overseas might not trust Pelosi or any other woman.” Do you honestly believe this? MIGHT NOT???? Have you truly read the koran? The so-called religion of peace and love? Have you not listened to the terrorists flat out tell us they will annihilate the US? Does that sound at all peaceful to you? It’s not a matter of “Might not”…they will not trust a woman. As a woman, I can sound as sexist as I choose when it’s based on common sense. Have you watched the stonings? The maimings of children? Adults? Do you honestly want sharia law here? Is that what you want? The terrorists want sharia law…sharia law has no respect for women. And you think they “might not” trust a woman? I’M the sexist one? Think again…this is often an argument designed to show how “enlightened” one is at the expense of the common good.
    True, not one single attacker on 9/11 was Iraqui. Not one. But can you tell me why a man–I believe al Farouk–was finally identified as a body killed in September of this year in Iraq, a known al quaeda operative who had escaped from a prison in afghanistan–why was he in Iraq hiding out? Do you honestly believe al quaeda isn’t in Iraq?
    And, yes, the nexus IS 9/11 and that goes back to Clinton not taking Bin Laden in 1993 and 1996 when he had the chance and Syria offered Bin Laden to him. Have you forgotten that day when we were attacked on a clear day and our civilians died? And for what? Have you? Do you want it to happen again? However, we may never know the extent of 9/11 because of the documents Sandy Berger stole.
    I think, IMHO, the real problem people have with Bush is his stubbornness…he flat out said this fight would be long. He has chosen to stay the course until it’s done. What people are most angry about is he isn’t malleable to public opinion and won’t give up like everyone wants him to. That’s his real crime.
    I also don’t understand your numbers. You state: “Around 3/4’s of a million Iraqi’s have been ‘liberated’ from their mortal coils by our military…” You actually believe we’ve killed 750,000 people? I don’t think so. Our military is NOT responsible for the mass graves–those are Saddam’s doing and to blame our military is just plain wrong.
    As for my friends and family reacting as the…”French Resistance did when their nation was occupied in the 40’s?” Frankly, no. My family fights, and I stated before we have a long, proud line of warriors, in all services.
    And Bush’s track record on civil rights? Still WAY better than what we’d be subjected to under sharia law. As for extremists, it’s not just the religious extremists who go way too far. It’s ALL extremists and you really should be clear about that.
    As for torture and Geneva violations? Please, SHOW ME how the terrorists are following Geneva Convention and NOT torturing our men and women. Before you point the finger at our people, take a good look at what they’re up against.
    You mentioned that we, Israel and Iran are the most distrusted nations worldwide. This is true…and for one good reason. All three nations have focus and dedication. Granted, in different directions, but all three are focused and dedicated. The rest of the world is content to let US do all the work, while they disparage us from afar. And you know as well as I do that the minute one of these other countries, one of the “trusted” ones, needs help, they’re going to come to us for that help. Because WE’RE the ONLY ones they can come to.
    Yes, I do consider the people we’re fighting to be bloodthirsty, savage animals. I’ve seen the pictures of mothers kissing their suicide (I think it should be changed to homicide) bomber sons goodbye in pride and dressing up their infants in bomber gear. I’ve seen the children revelling in the bloodshed emulating their male adults.
    Finally, two points. Whenever ANYONE starts using “ALL” in regard to allegations, I become highly suspicious because a lot of that is propaganda. And, I’m so sick and tired of hearing how this is all over oil. We only import 13-15% of our oil from the Middle East. 48% comes from Canada, but you don’t see us fighting Canada for oil, now, do you? As for the contractors like Boeing and Bechtel…well, where I am we have Raytheon. I could make four times the salary I make if I worked for them. I don’t because I happen to be a Traditionalist, Pre-Vatican II, Latin practicing Catholic and it doesn’t sit right with me morally to be contributing to the assembly of weapons. Yes, the Iraqi children are victims of this war—but no more so than every single freedom loving person on this earth.
    Why don’t you try this website to get a glimpse of what Iraqis are really saying about us being there? http://iraqthemodel.blogspot.com/ I think your figures are off by quite a few percentage points.
  22. Kateri.
    Thank you. This is exactly the type of interaction we are hoping for on our site.
    Let me make clear that we consider ourselves non-partisan, which is laughable to many, but if Pelosi, Hillary, Obama, McCain, Gingrich, Giuliani or any other future President or Federal Official commits crimes and misdemeanors rising to the level of impeachability as this President and Vice President most certainly have, then we will go after them as well… and much more swiftly and effectively now that we are more strongly organized.
    “the good coming out of Iraq and the Middle East”
    I am not sure what you are referring to. We have ignited a civil war, are creating terrorists “faster than we can kill them” as the bumper sticker says, have alienated every nation on the planet to the point where we, along with Israel and Iran WE are the most distrusted worldwide, have killed around 3/4’s of a million Iraqi civilians and have pushed the highest surplus in history to the largest deficit here at home.
    Around 3/4’s of a million Iraqi’s have been ‘liberated’ from their mortal coils by our military in the four years of our invasion and occupation of Iraq – this the equivalent of over ten million Americans dying at the hands of foreign invaders upon our soil (Iraq’s population was about 1/17th of ours at the time of the initial invasion). Look around at your friends and family. Who would let that happen to us? Don’t you think that perhaps your friends and family would respond much like the French Resistance did when their nation was occupied in the 40’s?
    I am not justifying violence against our troops – far from it. I am just looking at it from the perspective of the Iraqi’s – 75% of whom want us to leave immediately and over 50% of whom feel that violence against our troops is justified.
    “We are dealing with rabid dogs”
    Check out this video dedicated to the Iraqi children – the true victims of this war – and see if it might lead you to believe that all those that we are killing are not all necessarily terrorists:
    Is It For Freedom?
    “insane, rabid, bloodthirsty people”
    Wow. I am wondering why you don’t add the adjective “savage”. Your words could have easily been used by early American expansionists to justify the slaughter of some entirely peaceful Native tribes as our transplanted European forefathers pushed westward. Are you referring to Iraqi’s in general? Muslims? Brown people? Muslims in general are peaceful, just as most Christians are.
    “This enemy doesn’t believe in civil rights, religious freedom, women’s rights, gay rights, etc.”
    I would like you to consider the Bush Administration’s track record on supporting civil liberties, religious tolerance, women’s rights and gay rights. Anytime religious extremists have power, they violate the very tenets of the faith they give lip service to. ‘Muslim’ extremists are no different in this regard than the ‘Christian’ extremists who are in authority in our nation today.
    “doing your utmost to put a FEMALE leader in charge is disingenuous.”
    Our call for impeachment predates Nancy Pelosi’s ascension to the second position in the line of ascendancy to the Presidency by about ten months. ImpeachforPeace.org’s origins trace back to the State of the Union address in January of 2006. I was joking about having “HASTERT FOR PRESIDENT 2006” buttons made.
    I also consider your argument against a female becoming President sexist. I think America is ready for a female, black, hispanic OR caucasian President. What we really need, regardless, is a President we can trust. The current one has proven unworthy of our trust many times over. Those that don’t trust Bush overseas might not trust Pelosi or any other woman. That has nothing to do with taking care of justice against those in office who have committed muliple crimes here at home.
    “WE didn’t start this–they did on 9/11”
    This is the nexus of it all, isn’t it? The attacks of 9/11 justify anything and everything to some people: the loss of all our civil liberties, torture and other Geneva violations, initiating a War of Aggression, spying on Americans, lying to Congress and to the American people, etc.
    Who is the “they”? you are referring to?
    The majority of the alleged 9/11 attackers were Saudis, as was the reputed ringleader, Osama bin Laden, Why didn’t we attack Saudi Arabia?
    ~ Not a single alleged 9/11 attacker was Iraqi.
    ~ All alleged connections between Saddaam and 9/11 has been proven to be false.
    ~ All alleged substantial connections between Saddaam and Al Qaeda have been proven false.
    ~ All alleged substantial connections between Saddaam and Osama bin Laden have been proven false.
    ~ All claims about Iraq developing nuclear weapons have been conclusively proven false.
    ~ All claims about Iraq developing other WMD’s have been proven false. The only chemical weapons found were a decade old and long since become inert.
    In fact, the only justification for the invasion – and it was long down the original list of excuses for this preemptive strike, this war of choice, this war of aggression – was to remove Saddaam because he was a bad man. Saddaam was a bad man, formerly OUR bad man when we used him to help stave off Iran by funding his war with Iran. Donald Rumsfeld himself traveled over there and shook his hand to seal the deal of our support of his efforts against Iran. Ever seen the picture?
    Ever wonder why the charges against Saddam in his ‘trial’ didn’t include gassing the Kurds?
    THAT IS BECAUSE WE SUPPLIED HIM WITH THE CHEMICAL WEAPONS THAT HE USED TO GAS THE KURDS AND IF SADDAM WAS CONVICTED OF THOSE CRIMES, WE WOULD BE IMPLICATED AS AIDING AND ABETTING THOSE CRIMES.
    Certainly that wasn’t Bush’s fault, but it does despoil even the argument that removing Saddam was worth over 3,000 American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi’s, the loss of all international respect, financial wreakage at home, etc., etc., etc.
    “I will keep supporting the troops.”
    Here is a question for everyone: With all the fuss about the horrible state of affairs at Walter Reed Veteran’s Hospital recently, where were the Republicans AND the Democrats over the past four years? Did not a single one visit a wounded soldier there? Did not one check in now and then to see how they were doing? Did not one ever ask whether or not things were copasetic there?
    Republicans saying “Support the troops?” Laughable. Which Party voted down the Veteran’s benefits that would have seen that those suffering from PTSD and concussive brain injuries would recieve the extended care they needed after returning from Iraq? HINT: It wasn’t the minority party in the 109th Congress.
    Saying “Support the Troops” is chickhawk lip service if not coupled with covering every need for our returning heroes, not just rubberstamping every increase in the Defense Contractor budget to build and develop more war machinery to the benefit of Alliant, Boeing, etc. and the War Profiteers over there like Blackwater, Bechtel, Brown & Root and the rest of the Halliburton subsidiaries that received crony ‘no-bid’ contracts from their lobbyist in power, Dick Cheney.
    “Support the Troops”? Please. It must be backed up by more than a $1.50 sticker on the back of an SUV.
  23. “These comments as far as I can tell aren’t impeachable offenses. Bush mislead congress into a war. The evidence is clear…”
    Yes, the evidence is indeed clear, and what I see through this alleged clarity is a desire to “cherry pick”; to once again blame everything on Bush…part of the rabid, pavlovian reactions I referred to earlier. You can’t pick and choose while expecting to maintain any kind of credibility…I guess you’re saying it’s okay for Kerry, Pelosi, Clinton, etc. to say whatever they want in support of a war, but when it comes down to brass tacks, and the only person who had the wherewithal to do what needed to be done–BUSH–you now want to get rid of. And all those in support of this action, long before Bush even considered running for office, you want to cherry-pick out of the equation while ignoring their complicity.
    “You’re right, we should come together. We should all hold officials accountable for their actions, and maintain our Constitution”
    Perhaps this should read, “You’re right, we should come together. We should all hold ALL officials accountable for their actions and maintain our Constitution”.
    That includes, again, Kerry, Pelosi, Clinton, Berger (whom, by the way, is an egregious criminal; however, I don’t see you pushing for legal action against him), Daschle, Albright, Feinstein (by the way, do you like the idea of a National ID and having to provide your papers while traveling from city to city, a la Nazi Germany? Well, Feinstein introduced that idea), Miluski, Lieberman, ad nauseum. While we’re at it, why not include Reid for his land scams in Nevada? And isn’t it amazing how quickly the MSM covered up the shady land deals of Obama in Chicago? Not a whole lot of air time was dedicated to that, was there?
    You can’t cherry-pick and that’s just what you’re doing.
    Allow me to pose a few more questions. Do you enjoy worshiping as you please–even if that means you choose NOT to worship? Do you like voting? Do you like your freedom? For the women, do you enjoy being able to drive a car? Appear in public in “normal” clothing? Pursue a career? Voice an opinion? For those who live alternate lifestyles, do you enjoy being able to be “out of the closet” and not in fear of your life for your choice of whom to love? Do all of you enjoy having your right to free speech protected–so protected those very troops you would put in harms way in this clash of civilizations, moreso than they already are, are fighting for your right to disrespect them and the CIC? If you enjoy all those rights, and we have many, why then are you so willing to throw them away to our enemy? For that’s exactly what you’re doing. I don’t understand your thought process; I honestly don’t understand why you would choose to live under the fear and terrorism the Middle East is now going through–and that’s exactly what will happen if there is not a RESOUNDING VICTORY in this war.
    To sit and Monday morning quarterback a war, to encourage this kind of cherry picking, blindered micromanagement is completely anathema to me. And, being in the legal field, I can recognize when someone is trying to change the subject, or wants me to watch the right hand and ignore the left. I asked an earlier question of you and you haven’t answered. Why not?
    Further, by the way? Ultimately, all of the quotes above are indeed impeachable offenses under the same standard you’re using for Bush. Ultimately, if the Constitution were to be rigorously enforced, every last member of Congress who voted for the non-binding resolution would be branded and prosecuted as–and rightly so–a traitor, subject to the death penalty. Not to mention the ludicrous waste of taxpayer time and money for all of that little show.
  24. Another quote I forgot to include:
    “We must recognize that there is no indication that Saddam Hussein has any intention of relenting. So we have an obligation of enormous consequence, an obligation to guarantee that Saddam Hussein cannot ignore the United Nations. He cannot be permitted to go unobserved and unimpeded toward his horrific objective of amassing a stockpile of weapons of mass destruction…”
    “This should not be a strike consisting only of a handful of cruise missiles hitting isolated targets primarily of presumed symbolic value. But how long this military action might continue and how it may escalate should Saddam remain intransigent and how extensive would be its reach are for the Security Council and our allies to know and for Saddam Hussein ultimately to find out.”
    “Should the resolve of our allies wane to pursue this matter until an acceptable inspection process has been reinstituted–which I hope will not occur and which I am pleased to say at this moment does not seem to have even begun–the United States must not lose its resolve to take action.” Senator John F. Kerry, Senate speech given November 9, 1997
    What you seem to miss, Jodin, is that many who claim today they were lied to, made the same claims years before Bush was elected. Did he lie to them years before even running for President?
    Another thing, should we allow the enemy to win, our constitution won’t be anything other than a fleeting memory.
  25. If this war requires impeachment, then we need to include these fine people as well:
    “[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs.” — From a letter signed by Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara A. Milulski, Tom Daschle, & John Kerry among others on October 9, 1998
    “Saddam’s goal … is to achieve the lifting of U.N. sanctions while retaining and enhancing Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction programs. We cannot, we must not and we will not let him succeed.” — Madeline Albright, 1998
    “The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow.” — Bill Clinton in 1998
    “Iraq is not the only nation in the world to possess weapons of mass destruction, but it is the only nation with a leader who has used them against his own people.” — Tom Daschle in 1998
    “As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.” — Nancy Pelosi, December 16, 1998
    “Imagine the consequences if Saddam fails to comply and we fail to act. Saddam will be emboldened, believing the international community has lost its will. He will rebuild his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction. And some day, some way, I am certain, he will use that arsenal again, as he has ten times since 1983.” Sandy Berger, President Clinton’s National Security Advisor, February 18, 1998
    Addressing the lack of WMD’s found, “”The consensus was the same, from the Clinton administration to the Bush administration. It was the same intelligence belief that our allies and friends around the world shared.” Senator Hillary Clinton, Larry King Live, April 21, 2004
    Please note, all but one of these was made long before George W. Bush was elected to office. How does anyone claim they were lied to when they were saying the same thing a few years before Bush was even elected?
    Our enemies watch every step we make and they are emboldened as they see us fractured. Since 1979, when they invaded our embassy in Tehran and held hostages for over 400 days, there have been some 15 terrorist attacks against U.S. interests, twice on our own soil. These aren’t petty crimes, they are acts of war that must be addressed and defeated.
    Instead of all the infighting, we need to come together and defeat this enemy before they defeat us. Left or right, liberal or conservative won’t mean anything should they win.
  26. Thank you for your courtesy Mikael, but I must respectfully disagree with you. I have seen way too many people, left and right, who, quite simply, hate the current administration so much they would rather jeopardize our troops and our safety here at home. It’s almost a rabid, pavlovian reaction and I just can’t support it. I also find that many people I discuss this with, often very well read, very well educated people, simply cannot get past this blind spot and project possible scenarios of consequences resulting from these actions in their hate. Furthermore, I don’t see a whole of sites like this giving credit to the good coming out of Iraq and the Middle East; another blind spot. The “juggernaut” to “get Bush” at all costs is extremely grave, filled with potholes and blind spots rather than logic and common sense.
    One question I have posed on other sites, repeatedly, and granted, you may not have seen it, is this: we are not dealing with a logical enemy. We are dealing with rabid dogs. I’m not a military person, although I come from a long, proud line of warriors, one a noted Brigadier General, retired. He was also an undersecretary to the defense and a professor at Georgetown. So I tend to listen when he speaks–he’s been there, done that. When I ask him this question, he turns very pale and refuses to even consider the possibilities. That question is this: We already know we’re dealing with insane, rabid, bloodthirsty people who have no regard for the United States or anything standing for freedom. If these people will not sit down at a negotiating table with MALE “infidel” leaders, what makes you think they’ll sit down with a FEMALE leader? How can you be so sure they won’t simply decapitate said female leader (after much rape and torture, of course)? Is this something that has even crossed your mind in your push to put Pelosi in power? Or Hillary? I don’t think so. This enemy doesn’t believe in civil rights, religious freedom, women’s rights, gay rights, etc. Have those issues even crossed your mind? Again, I don’t think so.
    Continuously stating “talk” is the only answer is facile at best. Talk won’t accomplish anything with an enemy bent on wiping us off the face of the earth, as they themselves have stated. And doing your utmost to put a FEMALE leader in charge is disingenuous. They have no respect for anyone now; they certainly won’t for Pelosi. And that’s what this boils down to…we’re not used to dealing with such an enemy. We’ve never had to deal with an enemy such as this before. That’s not recognized by anyone who thinks “talk” will solve this. Keep in mind, WE didn’t start this–they did on 9/11. And they wouldn’t have had the chance to do so if Clinton had taken custody of Bin Laden in 1993 AND 1996, when Syria offered Bin Laden to Clinton.
    I tend to believe my cousin, and I will keep supporting the troops. I hope, however, I’ve given you something solid to think about that perhaps hadn’t been considered before.
  27. Kateri…
    What is often stated is that Congress got the same information before the invasion of Iraq as the Bush Administration. The Libby Trial confirmed what we have known for a long time. That is simply not true. The issue isn’t that everyone supported the war, the issue is that the Bush Administration withheld evidence from Congress and manufactured ‘evidence’ in their headlong run-up to war. Check out this OpEd from Ray McGovern, who was a top CIA official in the White House to three Presidents (Reagan, Bush, Clinton, I believe):
    Why Cheney Lost It When Joe Wilson Spoke Out
    This just was published today (Wednesday) so it is a very timely read. Check it out and check back in with us.
  28. Like I said, EVERYONE…the CIC had advisors–go after them as well. Congress voted for the war and they knew darned well what they were voting for. They simply don’t have the guts to finish what they started and want to sacrifice our troops because they’re incapable of wanting VICTORY…defeat is all they know. Go after EVERYONE or no one at all–otherwise, it sounds like a bunch of brats whining in a sandbox, crying because they don’t have their way.
  29. If you’re going to go after the CIC et al, then you better go after ALL the people who voted for the war–every single, last one of them, not to mention the traitors voting on the non-binding resolution and painting targets on the troops! This includes, of course, Pelosi, Murtha, Reid, and not least, Hollyweird and their queen, Hanoi Jane.
