Ms. Pelosi, The future of a fragile constitutional government and the rule of law hang in the balance. It is irrelevant whether or not the proceedings will ever reach a conclusion by the end of this presidential term. If — for political expediency — this Constitutional imperative is not initiated in the United States in 2008, where and when might it ever be used to check the abuses of an arrogant, runaway executive branch.
Just come out and say it, Nancy. You knew about the torture and extreme rendition and other war crimes at least by 2003 and yet you stood by a did nothing. You are complicit and won’t support impeachment because you yourself could be prosecuted for your prior knowledge and support – a war crime in and of itself.
