I vote for impeachment to end this era once and for all!!
Impeachment, YES! bush & Cheney both have committed war crimes as defined by the Geneva Convention. We are losing our Constitution and our country if this does not take place. Any future presidency, whether Republican or Democrat will be tempted to commit the same crimes and more. We are being taken over by an out of control runaway president who knows how to instill fear to get what he wants. Hitler did the same thing along with Roosevelt and others. History is full of repeats. Once we lose completely our freedom, then we will enter an era of unending horror coming from our U.S. government.
They should have been impeached when they started that trumped up Iraq War. It’s too late to give those scumbags in office what they deserve – banishment to a Gitmo-type prison staffed by detainees who were falsely accused of being terrorists.
Their whole agenda was to make money for their pals, regardless of the measures that they had to take to do it … like tax breaks, pay-offs from “lobbyists” who are nothing more than people who are allowed to bribe politicians, a phony war, “contracts” that have no oversight and run over budget, usurping the Constitution, eroding the freedoms that they claim to fight for, (that is the biggest laugher of all) etc.
Banish them just like Napoleon was banished – just don’t ever let them back.
It is time to return to the rule of law!
Even if either or both of them are Impeached, there aren’t enough votes to remove them from office. Conyers knows that. Its thin ice. The cornerd rats could set off another phoney terrorist attack and hit Iran etc– suspend 2008 Election and implement police state. A final Constitutional high-jacking would be Term Limits/ Succession. Just as, without habeas corpus, innocent people are being given indeterminate, detentions, They are giving themselves indeterminate Rule. Their primary goal is to increase human suffering and demoralization. A malignant tumor cannot be made benign. Somebody in the chain-of-command is gonna have to say No.
Oh, screw Conyers and his pathetic Judiciary Committee. Every once in awhile, Conyers and company dangle the prospect of impeachment to generate a little enthusiasm, and then they scurry off until next time. I used to have respect for Conyers – not anymore. He’s a corporate tool, just like the rest. Take a look at the draconian RIAA bill he’s been shilling lately; that’s where his heart really is. What an asshole.
Impeachment is desperately needed… but it won’t happen. The Dems in Congress have neither the courage nor the work-ethic. Cowards. Lazy. Worthless. We need to remove the Democratic party so that a genuine opposition party will rise up in its place. The once great Democratic party simply no longer exists. It has been hollowed out from within by lightweights such as Conyers, Pelosi, Reid, and all the rest. Damn them all.
Now is the time to stop this horrible behavior. I believe the only way to stop Cheney/Bush is through impeachment. We simplly cannot afford another year of their behavior.
