I’ve talked to people about the war and the reduced rights under which they live. And they don’t care. It doesn’t bother them. As long as they are not inconvenienced and can go about their daily business unperturbed they are not the least bit interested what somebody in Washington decides.
Of course, this will only last until that day comes that they -are- inconvenienced and find out exactly what it means to have their rights taken away. A bit like the co-worker who rolled his eyes at my nitpicking over how he interpreted what I said when I made specific efforts to clearly state my case. That message did not sink in until his boss twisted his words to throw him under the bus. -Then- there was indignation alright. I never had to defend that position again :).
The US does not have universal health care, has rampant illiteracy and leaders who do not care about the rule of law. And massive public debt. Welcome to the third world.
I am not sure where an original can be found, but it is a scene from a Boston Legal episode.
Hi, I was really hoping you could point me to the original of this video. I love the speech, but not the extra, un-needed editing. If you could do that would be great.

I would like to see a cleaner edit myself. Boston Legal, right? I have heard that is a good show. I don’t watch much t.v. other than Minnesota Twins games at a local bar and the Lehrer News Hour on PBS anymore since I haven’t had cable for a year.
I hate having the style of the message affect the message.
It is kinda ridiculous to be judging and rating topics so important by the quality of the expression of the message, but sadly, that is where we are at in America.
We elect Presidents like we are casting a Hollywood movie. I hear people talking about the relative merits on camera of Obama vs. Hillary all the time. “Edwards is too soft looking”, “Kucinich has too soft a chin”, crap like that.
Our nation may be dying before our eyes and we are talking about haircuts??!?!?
Good: Spader (as usual)
Bad: The ridiculous editing especially the stupid graphics.
Don’t “tart” up the message – all it does is devalue it.
amazingly?
