Retroactive impeachment is possible in order to cut off a former public official from ‘retirement pay’, but more importantly, once a public official leaves office they are no longer protected from criminal prosecution so they can be prosecuted, convicted and punished for their criminal activity they were involved in during their time in office.
Will that happen? Most likely not, but it still should be pursued in order to serve as a deterrent and protect our great nation from this kind of abuse of power from ever happening again.
Oh… and do you really consider Ron Paul a ‘leftist’?
