Saddam Dead, Bush Hoodless

Filed under: Impeach for Peace — Mikael @ 9:11 am

saddam_rummy.jpg

Saddam is dead.

The same Saddam we armed to fight Iran.
The same Saddam who shook Rummy’s hand.
The same Saddam who used American-supplied chemical weapons to kill the Kurds.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to Bush.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to Cheney.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to Rummy.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to Condi.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to Colin Powell.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to Rudy Giuliani.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to every GOP Convention speaker.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections – or so we were told.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections – or so Congress was told.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to FoxNews.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to CNN.
The same Saddam who had Al Qaeda connections according to the entire corporate media.
The same Saddam who was behind 9/11 according to Bush, Cheney, Condi, Rummy, Powell, et al.
The same Saddam who was behind 9/11.

… well not really…

Why exactly did we attack Iraq again?

The same Saddam who had NO Al Qaeda connections according to Bush… eventually.
The same Saddam who had NO 9/11 connections whatsoever.

Why exactly did we attack Iraq again?

The same Saddam who hated Osama bin Laden.
The same Saddam who had no nuclear weapons.
The same Saddam who had no missiles capable of reaching Israel, much less the USA.
The same Saddam who bought no Yellowcake uranium from Niger.
The same Saddam whose aluminum tubes were incapable of use in a nuclear centrifuge.
The same Saddam who had no mobile chemical weapons labs.
The same Saddam who had no other WMDs.
The same Saddam who allowed Hans Blix to inspect his nation until Bush pulled Hans Blix out.
The same Saddam whose Iraq’s skies we have controlled and patrolled since the Gulf War.

Why exactly did we attack Iraq again?

Saddam is dead.

The same Saddam whose personal pistol is a hunting trophy in President Bush’s office.

The same Bush who Europe’s press titled: “The Executioner” as Governor of Texas.
The same Bush who chose not to stay the execution of the first 131 death row inmates – the vast majority black men – whose time had come under his watch.
The same Bush who after five callous years as Governor finally granted his first stay of execution in a Rovian flourish shortly after announcing his candidacy for the Presidency.
The same Bush who fiddled while New Orleans flooded and the poor blacks drowned.

Saddam is dead.

And President Bush didn’t even have to wear a black hood.

Nor a white one.

SD Dem Senator Tim Johnson Falls Ill, Cheney Salivates

Filed under: Impeach for Peace — Mikael @ 9:11 am

The 110th Congress will convene January 4th, 2007 with a razor slim 51-49 Senate Democratic majority…

… unless of course some miracle or coincidence tips the balance to 50-50, in which case the President of the Senate, Vice President Rich, Rich, Richard Halliburton would cast the deciding vote on any and every ‘tax break for the oil companies’ bill that would otherwise be split straight down party lines.

This unlikely occurrence would save Senator Joe Lieberman (DINO-CN) the embarrassment of being forced to show his true colors by voting in alignment with the oily, bloodthirsty war lobbyists over and over and over again.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if that were to happen?

I mean… imagine the odds?

Democratic Senator Johnson Hospitalized in Washington

What? A Democratic Senator has fallen ill from an unidentified illness?!? And this just three weeks before the Senatorial newbies swear their oath to preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and John Woo. That is preposterous!

This coming on the heels of Senator Paul Wellstone (D-MN) dying in a plane crash just weeks before an election in a race that at the time was perceived to be the one that would tip the balance of the Senate as well!

Maybe lightning DOES strike twice in the same NeoCon ascent to absolute power!

The Wellstone crash occurred in cold but clear weather conditions with two highly qualified pilots onboard who never made a distress call and whose charred remains had to be identified through dental records. All of the plane’s occupants had to be identified that way since the fire – which couldn’t be put out by standard fire fighting means – burned for over five hours.

For the record, white phosphorus burns under water and cannot be put out by standard fire fighting measures, although we all know white phosphorus would have no legitimate business being on that light plane. White phosphorus is for the citizens of Fallujah, just ask the Pentagon:

US ‘uses incendiary arms’ in Iraq

Despite plenty of highly suspicious evidence of foul play such as this – and the unexplained ‘eternal flame’ is just the beginning – a criminal investigation was never initiated by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

“The Senator Wellstone Assassination” – Dr. James Fetzer

Wait? What? The NTSB can’t initiate a criminal investigation, only an accident investigation? Huh? A criminal investigation could only have been initiated by Attorney General of the United States John Ashcroft? But wait…

Didn’t the election opponent of John Ashcroft die in a light plane crash weeks before an election just two years previous?

Missouri Gov Mel Carnahan Killed In Plane Crash

Since initial reports are that the hospital can’t seem to identify Senator Johnson’s illness and that they ruled out heart attack and stroke, my suggestion would be search for some sort of foreign substance being introduced into his diet unbeknownst to him.

I’d look for minute traces of Putin

National Call-In TODAY for Peace AND Impeachment

Filed under: Impeach for Peace — Mikael @ 4:07 am

In case you wake up Monday morning staring out the window wondering what you can do today to make a difference in the world…

mandate_for_peace_061203_4504.jpg

Call your Representative and both Senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them:

“I insist that Congress act immediately to bring all U.S. troops home from Iraq NOW!”

It almost certainly will have no effect, but go ahead and do it. It’ll make you feel better.

Hundreds of thousands of your very best intentioned fellow citizens are calling their Representatives and Senators today insisting that the United States end its Iraq aggression immediately and good for them for doing so.

In case the number above doesn’t work out, here is a resource site to locate your Representative and Senators to place a call immediately along with other Action Steps you can take:

Progressive Democrats of America

The vote of November 7th was a mandate primarily against governmental corruption, but opposition to the Bush Administration’s illegal war of aggression for profit in Iraq was a close second. It is almost as if they are closely intertwined – governmental corruption and war for profit…

Who’d a thunk?

Here is just a smattering of organizations participating in this noble effort:

Voters for Peace

Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice

Instead of War

Code Pink

Democracy Rising

Enviros Against War

United for Peace & Justice

Sacramento for Democracy

Mandate for Peace

On the Wilder Side

ImpeachforPeace

After Downing Street

By all means, please call. It is the right thing to do. But while you’re at it, go ahead and call for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney because your call will be totally in vain as long as they are in power.

Period.

Ten thousand, a hundred thousand, a million, six point five billion calls won’t matter one iota. These soul-less corporate cretins have no intention of letting go of this boondoggle. It is far too profitable for the crony corporations to which they bend a knee.

They already know that they are unpopular and that their policies are not supported by the American people. They don’t give a Shiite, a Sunni or a Kurd what you think or want.

They don’t work for you.

So by all means make your call, but please consider saying instead:

“I insist that Congress act immediately to bring all U.S. troops home from Iraq NOW!, AND I demand full accountability of the President, the Vice President and their entire Administration for the lies that got us into this mess in the first place. I insist that impeachment be BACK ON THE TABLE immediately.
You work for us. We brought you into this office and we can damn well take you out! Do your job and serve the Constitution of the United States of America to which you will swear your oath of office in January or stop pretending you are a free standing multi-celled vertebrate”.

Calling for peace without justice is like operating your car without a drive train. The engine revs and the fuel is burned, but the car goes nowhere.

Be very careful how you expend your precious energy.

There will never be peace without justice.

Who Killed the Kennedys After All?

Filed under: Impeach for Peace — Mikael @ 9:11 am

The British “telly programme” BBC Newsnight recently featured filmmaker Shane O’Sullivan’s claim that he has discovered new video and photographic evidence that puts three senior CIA operatives at the scene of Robert Kennedy’s assassination in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 5th, 1968.

These three agents were on assignment in Southeast Asia at the time and had no official business being stuck around a Kennedy campaign rally where security was provided by the Secret Service and the L.A.P.D:

Who Shot Bobby Kennedy? – BBC

I’m most certainly not saying every cop is a criminal, but the new evidence in the story is certainly worthy of notice. Convicted assassin Sirhan Sirhan, who is still in prison nearly four decades later, consistently claims no memory of the events of that night, and was apprehended in his position directly in front of Bobby seconds after multiple bullets mortally pierced Presidential candidate Kennedy as friends, associates and supporters screamed in vain.

The coroners report indicates however that this Kennedy died of a gunshot wound to the back of his head from below and to his right – as if fired upward from the hip of someone behind him. One bullet struck him in the skull and sealed his fate.

rfk_autopsy_diagram_061203_0046.jpg

From: Geocities.com

Perhaps I am need of restraint, but Sirhan’s psychologists and others suspect that a “Psychological Warfare” technique of chemically enhanced hypnosis may have been utilized to induce an obedient trance in order for Sirhan to serve as a decoy and a stooge for the actual killers.

The three men positively identified as senior officers who worked together in 1963 at JMWAVE, the CIA’s Miami base for its “Secret War on Castro” are Chief of Operations David Morales, Chief of Maritime Operations Gordon Campbell and Chief of Psychological Warfare Operations George Joannides. Pleased to meet you.

I encourage everyone to watch the video directly from the BBC source above because it raises even more unanswered questions than were already readily known. That isn’t what’s puzzling me though.

An extremely rough edit left a major portion of the original BBC film missing on the version posted on Google Video. Starting at the 4:54 mark, there is 2:24 that appears to have been removed. Whoever did so stole many a man’s ability to weigh the evidence for themselves:

Who Shot Bobby Kennedy? – Google Video

It is during this missing section in the original BBC video that the identities of Morales and Campbell appear to be conclusively confirmed. It also contains testimony that both men hated the Kennedys dating to the Bay of Pigs incident. Most damning, however, is direct testimony from the former attorney for the now-deceased Morales, Robert Walton, saying that Morales admitted to him that he saw it was time for a change and that “I was in Dallas when we got the son of a bitch and I was in Los Angeles when we got the little bastard.”

It is my understanding that you and me can upload a video clip onto Google Video, so it is difficult to discern who didn’t want that particular section to be kept from truth-seeking eyes and ears.

Google owners and men of wealth and taste Sergei Brin and Larry Page have recently been said to have stated that “the company won’t abandon its free and open search engines despite any potential pressure from shareholders” according to Everything Google, and I would like to trust that their service doesn’t censor or alter its submissions in sympathy for guilty devils.

Everything Google

I am sure the nature of what’s confusing you, however, isn’t that the efforts to suppress the truth about the ongoing attack on progressive, populist ideas and their proponents aren’t limited to simply calling Patriotic Truth Tellers and Heroic Whistle Blowers “Conspiracy Theorists”, “Loonies”, “Moonbats” and wearers of tin foil hats.

It’s the nature of their game to have no sympathy. For you however, if you do not insist that the truth be allowed to be told, I tell you one time, baby, you’re to blame.

An Open Letter to My Fellow Christians

Filed under: Impeach for Peace — Mikael @ 9:11 am

(As published on OpEdNews December 2nd, 2006)

opednewslogo.jpg

A man whose country has been invaded and is under occupation by the most powerful nation in the world is suddenly arrested in the middle of the night and taken away from his family and friends by the army of his occupiers. As he is rendered from place to place his startled loved ones have no idea where he has been taken.

He is put on trial. Despite the fact that the court procedure falls pathetically short of providing him with the Due Process that is indeed at the very core of any definition of civilized government, and despite the fact that laws of neither his own country nor those of their occupiers are followed in his hearings, he is convicted and harshly sentenced.

He is beaten and tortured mercilessly, publicly shamed beyond measure and eventually he is put to death.

The leader of the occupying nation, whose military has made a gruesome habit of such atrocities publicly washes his hands of the whole affair.

This is the story of the man named Jesus of Nazareth, whom we know as The Christ, The Chosen One, The Son of Man, the only begotten Son of God. Our Saviour.

It is also the story of a number of men that have been arrested by our military and sent on orders from our government to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan, Abu Gahrib in Iraq as well as being “farmed out” to Syria and other nations where there are no restrictions on torture to be concerned with.

To support or even passively allow these actions by our government is abject hypocrisy – enough so that if you do support these policies and actions actively I would question the depth of your understanding of the great price – the gruesomely atrocious death – paid for your soul’s ransom. This according to our understanding of the redemptive sacrifice of the Lamb of God – the blood of Jesus shed for us upon the cross. Indeed, if you actively support such policies and actions I would question the very salvation you may arrogantly assume for yourself.

Are you a Roman – supporting torture, extreme rendition and even capital punishment being meted out by our government without the charges against the accused being made public, without a fair trial, without representation or the right to know and dispute the charges against him? Are you standing at the foot of the cross screaming: “Crucify him!”?’

Or are you a Christian – standing in the gap as Christ did and does between every evil thing and those who are powerless unto themselves to escape a hideous end? Are you at the foot of the cross or are you willing to let your sins of complicity in all of this be nailed there?

The School of the Americas in Fort Benning, Georgia, from which the American government exports torture techniques to the world, must be closed at once in the name of God. You must insist upon it or leave Jesus and walk away forever from the tree upon which he was hung, leaving him there forever:
