Citizen Impeachment Tool

Citizen Impeachment Tool

Hold Power-Abusing Federal Officials Accountable

Impeach for Peace helps citizens create formal impeachment memorials pressuring the House of Representatives to investigate alleged misconduct by presidents, vice presidents, judges, cabinet members, and other federal officials who abuse public power.

The tool is especially concerned with abuses of power that undermine the rule of law, weaken constitutional checks and balances, or encourage war.

How the Citizen Impeachment Tool Works

1. Choose an Official

Select the federal official whose conduct you believe should be reviewed by the House of Representatives.

2. Create a Memorial

The tool helps you create a formal impeachment memorial based on the historical and procedural method described in House rules and Jefferson’s Manual.

3. Verify and Send

After verification, you receive a memorial link that you may send to your U.S. Representative. The memorial is not automatically submitted to Congress.

Why Impeachment Matters

Impeachment is not merely a partisan weapon or a symbolic protest. When used responsibly, it is a constitutional accountability tool for investigating serious abuses of public power.

Elections matter, but elections do not replace oversight. When officials ignore legal limits, obstruct accountability, or misuse public office, Congress has a responsibility to investigate and respond.
