THE DETROIT NEWS– More than 100 Iraq war protesters from Metro Detroit are expected here this weekend for what organizers hope will be a protest march to rival those of the Vietnam era. At least two buses from Metro Detroit, and perhaps a third, will leave Detroit on Friday for the Saturday protest, which will include a march from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial across the Potomac River to the Pentagon. David Sole, who is organizing transportation from Detroit, said there may be buses from other Michigan cities as well. National organizers of the protest say travel arrangements have been made for protesters from roughly 200 cities in 43 states. (Read More)
