    A mini-campaign is under way by some to label Christie’s investigation of Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez’s real estate activities two months before last November’s election as another example of politics mixing with justice because no one, so far, has been charge with anything. There’s even a call for the state’s few Republicans to confess if they had contacted Christie and asked him to go after Menendez.
    It’s hard to imagine Christie, who strikes us as someone who gives orders, not takes them, tolerating such a suggestion.
    His tenure has been exemplary. But so, apparently, were several of those U.S. attorneys bounced from office by the Justice Department.”
