Etopia Media-On March 17, 2007, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, anti-war demonstrators “in the 5,000 to 6,000 range” marched and rallied against the Iraq War in Hollywood, California. Many carried signs calling for the impeachment of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney.
Those attending listened to Congresswoman Maxine Waters call for the defeat of the pending supplemental appropriations bill for continued funding of the Iraq War; to actor-activist Martin Sheen, who said the crowd deserved “the long-promised blessing” reserved for the “peacemakers”; and to singer/songwriter-activist Jackson Browne singing his compositions “Drums of War” and “Lives in the Balance”; among others.
You can watch and listen to Martin Sheen, Jackson Browne, and Maxine Waters on-stage at this event, and to an exclusive Impeachment Channel interview with Jackson Browne supporting impeachment as the only way to preserve American democracy, by clicking on the “PLAY” buttons associated with their appearances in the “4 impeachment” line-up on the Impeachment Channel.
