CA Democratic State Convention Dominated by Impeachment

Times-Herald — “Impeachment is in the air,” said Northern Solano Democratic Club President Deloris Roach as she surveyed the crowds of delegates crowding into the convention center in San Diego for the state’s Democratic Party Convention.
Roach is one of several Northern Solano Democratic Club members in San Diego this weekend for the convention which has been described by some as the unofficial kickoff of the 2008 presidential race in California.

“The progressive caucus of the party is one of the most organized,” Roach said. “When we got here, they had impeachment signs and they had impeachment stickers that they stuck on everybody’s body as they passed by.”

Impeachment of President George W. Bush is one of several resolutions the local Democratic club approved and sent to the convention. It could be considered by convention delegates on Sunday (More)
