From the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire:
At their April board meeting, the Libertarian Party of NH officially endorsed NH House Resolution 24, which calls for impeachment procedures to start against President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
The resolution is based on rules from the Jefferson Manual of Parliamentary Practice, which states that impeachment proceedings may be initiated by the legislature of a state.
The resolution states many reasons to warrant the start of an impeachment including pressuring states to implement electronic voting, violations of FISA and the Geneva Conventions, for advocating the indefinite detainment of American citizens, warrantless wiretaps of American citizens, and for various actions taken during the conflict in Iraq.
A resolution of this form re-asserts the important role that individual states play in our federalist system, placing a further check against federal-level power and actions, in the executive branch or otherwise.
HR24 is currently awaiting a vote by the full House at their next general session. You can read the text of HR24 [here].

To All,
There is no merit to Jeff’s attempted negation of this Constitutionally-based measure in the New Hampshire legislature. He uses unnamed sources and other weak, at best, claims in his attempt to subvert democracy.
He attempted to portray himself as an unbiased commenter, but upon being exposed as just another lockstep Bushie loyalist and apologist, fell back upon name-calling and personal insults – most of which were deleted from this website.
Now he is complaining about having posts deleted.
Every view he has expressed – however falsely based and specious – has been allowed to remain. The only posts that have been deleted or edited have been those in which he has lowered himself to the Ann Coulter level of mud-slinging and attempted swift-boating of our staff and our organization.
As long as his posts stay focused on the issues, they will be allowed to stand – no matter how wrong he is.
Ms. Hall’s resolution may not gain enough votes to pass, but it absolutely is a legal, Constitutionally-valid effort to bring BushCheneyCo. to justice.
To All,
If you have not done so already, you need to read the comments in the previous posting –
“Daniel Ellsberg to Headline Historic Impeachment Event in Concord.”
There is no merit to this resolution.
