CNN on 9/11: “No evidence a plane hit the Pentagon”

  1. It’s understandable some believe that no 757 hit the Pentagon due to the clear evidence that no large plane parts existed outside on the lawn of the Pentagon. I think this video is crucial in sparking a necessary deeper look into the physics behind the seemingly “disappearance” of a 757 into the side of the pentagon. This videos intentions support the claim that, if a plane hit The Pentagon, then large pieces of debris, particularly things like wings, the engine, and the fuselage, should be scattered, yet all that is seen are small, insignificant pieces of debris, which seems to suggest that no plane really hit the Pentagon. However, this argument stems on the assumption that if no plane parts exist outside the Pentagon then no plane hit the Pentagon. This assumption, although seemingly logical, neglects the idea that the plane could have incinerated within the Pentagon. In 1988 Sandia National Labs tested an F-4 Phantom crashing into a wall of concrete at about 480 mph. The purpose of the test was to “determine the impact force, versus time, due to the impact…— including both engines — onto a massive, essentially rigid reinforced concrete target.” The results of the study are astounding and can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=–_RGM4Abv8&feature=related. The evidence clearly shows the plane, flying at similar speeds to that of Flight 77, completely dissipating as it strikes the concrete wall.
