Approximately a year ago, I wrote in this magazine that President George W. Bush had committed high crimes and misdemeanors and should be impeached and removed from office. His impeachable offenses include using lies and deceptions to drive the country into war in Iraq, deliberately and repeatedly violating the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) on wiretapping in the United States, and facilitating the mistreatment of US detainees in violation of the Geneva Conventions and the War Crimes Act of 1996.

In my estimation, the enumeration of ‘evidence’ for impeachment that I find on the web site looks woefully inadequate. The several draft ‘articles of impeachment’ fail to address major aspects of the planning leading up to the ‘new Pearl Harbor’ event. No draft which I have succeeded in locating charges anyone in the administration with the premeditated murder of thousands of Americans and others, on U. S. soil, in New York, perhaps Pennsylvania (the coroner reported no remains at Shanksville!), and the District of Columbia.
I have seen evidence that I find entirely convincing that the events of 11. September, 2001 had to represent the perpetrations of a cabal commanded by some combination that likely included Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Carl Rove, Richard Armitage, Paul Wolfowitz, and, in passing, the puppet president, George W. Bush. The mayor of the City of New York, Rudy Giuliani, had to provide essential support for the incredibly hasty disposal of the crime-scene evidence, as well.
The joint efforts of Rev. Davidson Loehr and author David Ray Griffin provided crucial parts of the evidence which I find so convincing. The further work of BYU physics Prof. Stephen Jones and his colleagues describing the collapse of WTC7 (as well as of towers 1 and 2) as clearly a controlled demolition plainly demands an answer to the question: “who controlled them?†A recent picture of the collapse on a Reason magazine cover reinforced the question for me.
A video called “Loose Changeâ€, which has undergone several revisions, also addresses these questions, but has seen several challenges claiming inaccuracies. Admittedly, none of this evidence, damning though it appear, links directly any specific perpetrator(s), but collectively, it demands investigation, including subpoena power, to find those links. Also, why, when over 400,000 people have viewed much of these data, have the media so thoroughly blacked out the questions raised there?
Numerous people have to have taken part in the preparations and in the subsequent cover-up, likely many not especially in sympathy, though the life expectancy of most whistleblowers in such work might well prove brief. But, if we can open public dialog on this so-far underground topic, a few brave patriots might emerge.
If my assessment of the evidence turns out accurate, any successful impeachment must dethrone the vice-president concurrent with the president. Otherwise, we cast the nation from the frying pan into the fire.
The tactics of initiation of an impeachment proceeding may prove complicated if, as widely asserted, Carl Rove and others have accumulated blackmail dossiers of real or alleged transgressions pointing at many representatives and senators, after the example of J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI.
I hope this much detail can support getting these questions a wider audience.
