The Phoenix — They are not stopping traffic or waving picket signs: a group of concerned peaceniks from the Brunswick area have found another means of change. According to the rules of the US House of Representatives, any state legislature can present a resolution to impeach the president.
Deborah Gordan and Stan Lofalia of MaineImpeach.org hope Maine will be the first state to do so, though similar efforts are under way in several other states.
The group of artists and activists has collected 3600 signatures on a petition to US representatives Michael Michaud and Tom Allen, as well as to state lawmakers, hoping to push any or all of them toward seeking impeachment. Organizers say they want to collect 10,000 signatures before formally submitting them to Michaud, Allen, and others. (More)

I can only hope that Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, and Rove will all be thrown out immediately – they are guilty of so many crimes it is impossible to begin to list them – use of depleted Uranium as weapons is just one of the many flaws – these weapons are illegal in the rest of the world and the US makes and uses them – give me a break!!!!

What note?
Im a Canadian guy living in Japan. I would just like to offer my complete and total support to the effort to impeach president Bush. I only hope that vice president Cheney and Mr. Paul Wolfowitz will be impeached as well. I have done a lot of research into the Iraq war, the events of sept. 11, the coverup involving the health conditions at ground zero, the illegal act of revealing the identity of an FBI agent, the many atrocities reguarding torture and unlawful confinement at places like Abu Graib, and Guantanamo Bay, etc. The list of lies, broken laws, conflicts of interest, and other acts of treason is so long that its heartbreaking. I know its not easy to take actions against your own president. My hopes and prayers are with you as well as my gratitude. I only wish that I could do more to see that justice is served. Every day I check the internet in hopes of seeing impeachment precedings. I will continue to do so. Good luck and God bless you!
