Impeachment bid unsuccessful
By Kevin Landrigan

State Rep. Betty Hall (D-Brookline) failed on Monday in her bid to get a resolution endorsing the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney before the New Hampshire Legislature.

Two Democratic colleagues, Newmarket Rep. Marcia Moody and Strafford Rep. Robert Perry were backing Hall’s request that all rules be suspended to let this matter come up in the waning weeks of the 2007 legislative session.

But the House Rules Committee voted unanimously to turn down Hall’s request. About 10 people led a silent vigil in support of the resolution, wearing pink signs that simply read “Impeach.”

  1. This is a letter to a soldier who was asking…”Why are we here?”

    Dear Donald,
I served in Viet Nam, and I have seen this all before. As wrong and as bad as our presence in Viet Nam was, It is nowhere near as wrong as our current presence in Iraq.
You may have heard of the Iraq Hydrocarbon Law. It is the reason you are in Iraq. It was written by the powerful global oil companies who control only 17 percent of the worlds oil. They want to control more very badly. Badly enough to sacrifice you, your friend, and thousands of other brave young Americans to their greed. They want to steal Iraq’s oil, and the evil greedy men in political power in America are in their service.
The fact is that we can buy the oil, we don’t have to steal it. It would be far cheaper in lives and treasure to buy the oil, but in the eyes of the oil barons, too much of the profit would have gone to Iraqis. That doesn’t sit well with the CEO’s of the Global Oil Corporations who to our great misfortune have control of our government.
We are trying very hard to change the policy of that government. Many of us favor impeachment, because the American body politic is moving far too slowly. Short of that we old farts are working to elect politicians who have a conscience and a spine.
Something has befouled America, because only 28 percent of Americans support Bush, and far less support Cheney, but they continue to successfully defy the American People. That does not speak well of our democracy. We must find a way to change that.
I thank you for your service, I respect you greatly, and I want you to keep yourself and your fellow soldiers safe until we can bring you all home.

    Your friend and supporter,

    Jerry Sneirson

    A Patriot’s Message
The hammer falls on the Constitution of the United States of America. Our freedom and Democracy, our sovereignty as a nation is coming to an end.
The politically appointed neoconservatives in Justice sneer at Habeas Corpus; Geneva Convention; worker, consumer and investor protection; education; affirmative action; individual rights and “entitlements” like Social Security and health care.
The corporate neo-con conspirators (Establishment) have their own agenda of a New World Order; W.T.O; N.A.F.T.A; immigration; globalization and “free trade”; military seizure of foreign oil fields; employing a private army of mercenaries and propagandist; “dealing” with Afghanistan Opium drug lords harboring Osama Bin Laden and financing Al Qaeda.
The ideal corporate model is “Communism” where individual freedom and democracy are mute. The board of directors rule. The corporate neo-cons hate our regulatory government, Constitution and Individual Rights.
Our Federal Government is purposely bankrupt by war/trade debt and the ideal corporate nation, China, are carrying trillions of dollars of our debt. Communist China and their junior corporate American partner’s technically own the”U.SA” resulting in “Globalization” and loss of sovereignty. Mission accomplished. The surge strategy is not to win the war but to pump oil and further indebt U.S.A to Communist China. Patriots, sign on! Impeach Bush, Cheney and nullify their Supreme Court appointments!
