Patriots for Corporate Rights (corporaterights.org) believe they are celebrating America by “standing up against moonbats who dare to dissent and protest torture and the war.” They also obviously oppose impeachment.

Did anyone who saw this actually believe these clowns are sincere? Come on, people. Maybe you don’t think that kind of cynical irony is funny, but if you fell for this crap, then the joke is clearly on you!

Tourture is wrong because no system of justice is infalible. Plus i dont think you guys actually realise what what tourture is really like. Most people have this image of a guy tied in a chair being beaten untill he gives up some info. If the guy gives up the info the torture stops. But its not like that in reality. in reality no one is trying to extract ANY info from you and theres nothing you can say or do that will make it stop.

The simple fact is that information gained through torture is NOT RELIABLE! If someones about to rape you with a pineapple for the 3rd time that day your gonna pretty much agree to anything! So torture IS NOT used to gain usefull info from whoever the bad guys are supposed to be this week. They are just tortured!
Innocent people get abducted and exported to egypt where they perform unspeakable acts of crulty for sometimes years on end without their family being told anything!
What if it was your family?

The latest torture tactic these days if there is some kind of info they really want or something they want you to say you did is to make it a family affair. The whole family is abducted,raped and tortured reguardless of age/sex/health.

some people around here seem to be a little short on sense, so let’s get clear on a few basic facts:
– we never supported saddam, nor did we rely on him to do our bidding
– when saddam refused to continue to do our bidding, we were forced to liberate iraq from saddam in the first gulf war
– al-qaeda attacked us on 9/11
– when iraq attacked us on 9/11, we were forced to liberate iraq from saddam in operation iraqi liberation
– we must destroy iraq in order to save it
– ignorance is strength

It made me sick – I couldn’t watch more than a bit of it. If you have a stronger stomach than I do, watch these morons shouting slogans like “Peace is unpatriotic”, and “Torture is patriotic”. People who oppose war and Bush are “moonbats”, etc. And all the time waving the Magic Rag.
These people should be given every opportunity to exercise their Second Amendment rights – on themselves, in a sealed-off section of the world, far from civilization.
This is exactly why so much of the world spits on America from a great height – what other country in the world could produce “torture is patriotic” as a banner slogan?
What is the answer to these people?

Yes, it would seem that is the case, (3+ / 0-)
but let me just say that I would be glad to debate them anytime, anywhere. My husband was a POW who was tortured by his North Vietnamese captors. I am heartbroken that John McCain has broken faith with his fellow POWS, by implicitly condoning torture, but I would even take him on to remind him of his greater duty. The people in the clips scare me with their cold hearts, but I would welcome the challenge to open those hearts.
